best allrounder of the bunch, good spec, all the bits you want and need, yes can be rolly in the corners when you push on, but will hold on and is very comfy with it.

the main thing though is what sort of roads you are on a lot....the diesel has its fans too, but for us the petrol is fine for town, and now the mrs has changed jobs, a bit more motorway work, though only about 40 miles a day

Thanks for your reply. I love the interior and the dashboard. I'ts very rare i go on the motorway. If i do its only for short distances. i'm a runaround kind of person so hopefully it will be worth trading my cool punto dynamic.;)

your dealer should have no problem setting up an extended test drive in an eleganza, well worth doing, the aircon is a godsend on even a mildly warm day, as the glass area is large enough to cook you.electric bits, nice interior, etc although the 1.2 is not the last word on power and pull, it's more than enough for the car it is

however there is also the new variant out there, as seen on another thread....the mamy...if indeed you are a mummy....very nice colours!

:D go for the eleganza, all the toys you need, climate, electric mirrors, remote central locking and more importantly larger tyres. handles better than the active with skinny tyres.
i ran one for 2 years before i got my 100 hp, splendid car.
it,s good on the motorway to, no problem cruising 70/ 80 mph, last long run i did was london-leeds-blackpool-london in 1 day, no problems at all.
recommended.... (y)

60hp is more than enough for town work, it wont pull like a 100hp, but then do you need that? from personal experience, the car has plenty for its job, and goes about its business with a certain "panache"!:D

:yeahthat:

....We have an '05 Eleganza as well as the 100hp and it does everything the 100hp can do albeit a bit slower!

so you think the 1.2 eleganza one i'm getting isnt that powerful?

I think only you can answer that question. I always try and drive each of the models I'm interested in over a decent (typical!) test route. I ended up with the 100hp :ROFLMAO:

Is the 100HP same spec as the Eleganza, but with more bits (like better seats, engine), so does the Eleganza have some bits the 100hp doesn't?

I don't think it has as much as the 100hp - front fogs and bluetooth spring to mind. On the plus side, the Eleganza has been out a few more years so you'll be able to pick one up significantly cheaper :D

Very much so, and if silly like me, you can even get a dodgy Dual Logic box fitted, which you can't with the 100HP:p
