Just had my Panda 4x4 in for MOT and the garage found that a rear coil spring had slipped a bit out of its lower mounting.
They didn't fail the car as they easily prised the spring back into place.
They thought it must have happened when the rear wheel was jacked up to replace the brake pads. I've never had this happen on a car before and wonder if anyone else has seen it.
This could be a potential problem in off-road use where a wheel can be lifted clear of the ground.
Anyhow, next time I jack the rear up I'll check the spring mountings before I drop the car down.
