Is the 1242cc 60hp engine non-interference

Hi,
I just had a salesman telling me the 1242cc engine in the Panda is non-interference. Is it?
I know the 1108cc engine is non-interference.

Also what is the cambelt rated to in terms of years/milage.
Thanks,
Dipole.

Yes the 1.2 8v is none interference ..and fiat say 5 years on a cam belt change but personally [if you do high mileage] change it earlier..

Only the 8v ones are non-interference superfires (16v) aren't but only one of those in the panda is the 1.4 16v in 100hp so OP has a safe engine
