has anyone bought a diesel tuning box from car performance parts and more importantly did it work . followed instructions to the letter , less power will not rev above 3000 rpm no matter what way i adjust it. management light stays on, not smoky, rough running in fact it seems to do nothing , parting shot on instruction leaflet is that it cannot be returned if adapted plugs to fit , which you have to do ! have i been ripped off?:bang:

AFAIK these just plug into the common rail sensor so there shouldn't be much scope for fitting it wrongly. From what you've said I suspect the box you have is not designed for the 1.3 MJ as the modified values it's sendind on are outside what the ECU allows and as such the car sounds like it's going into limp-home mode.

If you've run on the lowest setting on the box and it still goes into limp mode then I'd be complaining to the seller as the box is "unfit for the purpose for which it was sold".

Check the connections are right way around as I have found possible to fit either way. Is there an LED light that should illuminate. I had same problem on my Stilo, the wiring to the pressure sensor connector was wrong way just turned it round and it worked fine.

So was the tuning box worth the money? I am torn between a MJ or 100hp, the price of diesel most probably means I'll go for the MJ but want to know how good the tuning box is first!!
