Diamondbrite refund!

Some people may remember I was complaining that I paid for diamondbrite but the interior protection wasn't done and they handed me the can to do it myself.

Well nearly two months later i've finally got a full refund! I went to Fiat Customer Service in Italy and they chased it up with the dealer. They said the dealer would call me and after month still no call. So I complained again and they again chased it up with the dealer. After a final three weeks they called the dealer and demanded they contact me.
The dealer phoned me saying they had been given the wrong number (a stupid excuse as they had two numbers to contact me on when I purchased the car) They inspected the trim on the car (white marks all over the grill, mirror casing and rubbing strip that I couldn't get out) and said he'd either rectify it or refund me. He should have done both however I know it wasn't going to cost 300 to get some cleaner and rub it on the plastic co I took the refund. So glad it is over - will NEVER use that dealer again (Brindley Fiat Wolverhampton)

Well done on your refund

These paint protection packs are a complete rip off!

For your 300 you can buy some decent polish and a can of scotchguard and have 260 change.

Re: Diamondbrite refund!

Glad to hear you got a refund.

A good wax is so much better then any dealer protective coating and only a fraction of the price.

As above a pencil rubber is great for removing white marks on plastic trim.

Well done on the refund, but I'd disagree with above. Had 'Amazing Glaze' fitted to the Yaris when mum brought it, and we're glad we did! It's amazing, but like all things, only when applied.

Jon.

But how much did it cost?

A durable wax, such a Collinite 476S, is only 15 and a few coats will last a good 6 months. The tin of wax is enough for maybe 100 applications so applying it again will not cost any more money.

400-500, and 7 years later the car is still looking as good as new. A 2 car wash brings it up really shiny, and no work needs to be done.

And a mere 65 quid if you buy it direct and apply it yourself! The marketing bumpf is certainly very compelling but I'd have to see it in action to be sold (a 2 car wash brings most cars up shiny )

I've got Gard-X on mine and it works very well. The water still beads after 8 months and it shnes brilliantly.

Didn't cost 300 though, that's a lot!

Re: Diamondbrite refund!

I'll have to give this pencil rubber a go, i've got white marks on my trim from brand new. The car came with some autoglym package as standard (didn't pay for it)....
