There is a seatbelt warning light on my dashboard. However it never comes on.

Does anyone know if this feature should be there on the Dynamic? Or is it only the Eleganza?

If it should be there on the Dynamic, then I guess I'll be heading back to the dealer.

Its there on my dynamic 1.2 when I start the engine and promptly goes off again when I buckle the belt..if I dont clunk click it flickers at me to remind me to do so..:)

Just had a look in the handbook - it doesn't show or mention a seatbelt warning light and I can't see one on the HP dash.... Confused now!

Just checked my handbook and not mentioned anywhere either, but I can see the light in the bottom right hand corner of the dashboad.

It never lights though (either on initial turn of the key when all warning lights come on, nor when I move off without my belt on).

Confused.

My Bad!...I just went out to the 100hp and checked....

Having looked a bit more closely, I think it's the light to show you the Passenger Airbag is enabled....At first glance it looks like a seatbelt, and I always assumed that was what it was (The light in question is amber and is to the left of the Red Airbag light)....It illuminates when you switch on the ignition and then after a few moments, flashes several times and goes off....

Just goes to show....You live and learn!....My wife thought hers was a seatbelt light too ('05 Eleganza) (y)

Mine has both lights, the amber one for the passenger airbag and also a red one for the seat belt. The passenger airbag one works exactly as intended but the seatbelt one never lights up at all.

Have you tried driving without your seatbelt on?

Double - double checked this morning on the way to work. On the HP there is a dummy seatbelt warning light to the bottom right of the cluster but it doesn't light up with the ignition, doesn't light up if you don't buckle up and doesn't light up if you drive off without the belt on.

I'll stand by my original diagnosis - for the HP, anyway!

I checked today and agree with HP - there is a red warning light which I had assumed was a seatbelt warning light too as it stays on for a few seconds (thank god it doesn't have the accompanying bongs of the Fabia!) but looking closer it is for the airbag. In my defence the person being "airbagged" is wearing a seatbelt though :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I have the airbad one two (2 airbag ones, one for the SRS system and one for passenger airbag disabled).

Also have a separate seatbelt light right in the bottom r/h corner of the dash below the rev counter which doesn't do anything.
