Seller is right in saying its HPI clear, but is wrong for selling the car without saying it had been written off, I'd have more sympathy for the future owner than a seller trying to make some money..

will have to send another email, its not my insurance company dealing with the car it was an accident management company, my last email got a response saying they would look into why it wasn't recorded
agreed, and if they can't answer for themselves, its a police matter IMO... i suppose its technically fraud. I wonder how many other cars they've kept HPI clear and sold on that were apparently written-off?

I'm guessing the sale went wrong again, i've just spotted it on Autotrader! Cheapest one on there at £4295. Unless it was always on there, i never spotted it before...
