Twice, now, I've been accosted in Lidl's car park by gents with questions about my Panda 4x4.
First time the gent in question wanted to know if the black panel in the rear bumper dropped down to function as some kind of luggage rack.
Today, a chap in a nice British Racing Green Jag wanted to know all about the 4x4 as his wife has a 1.2 petrol front wheel drive and fancies the 4x4. They're moving to Donegal and thought a 4x4 might be useful on the rough roads there. I persuaded him against as it seemed unlikely that they would do any real off-road work and that as the 4x4 is slow they would find the hills in that part of Ireland a bit tiresome. I recommended the MJ instead. He was very knowledgeable about the Panda and indeed Fiats and Alfas as well.
This is the only car I have ever owned that attracts this kind of attention.
