My top speed with the 100hp is 202 kph on the GPS and the speedo was over 210 kph.

So that is 126 mph and the speedo reached just over 130 mph.
It was on my way to SpaItalia. And my brother in law had the same speed on the speedo..

I dindn't took a picture because it was too dangerous.

That's definately a 100hp....The fuel light is on!

The 100hp speedo is'nt to far out then compared to other cars iv had so mine was doin but 126mph then nice, yeh id have taken a picture but cars bit choppy at that speed lol.

What was the full message on the MFD? Only ask as I know VAG cars log a "max engine revs exceeded" fault code which is an instant warranty voider as my friend discovered!

They certainly have limiters in the lower gears - I've not ever maxed one out in top gear to know whether they have one there too or just rely on the car not having enough puff to reach the limiter. Who knows

when i was in Germany, on an autobahn, i got 135mph, that also reading on a tomttom sat nav, i was on my way to the nurburgring and found it was closed when i got there , but awesome drive there thou

You can set the computer to warn you when you reach a certain speed and when it gets to that speed on the speedo, the comp beeps and says "maximum speed exceeded" or something along those lines. Mine's set to 95mph - from what I've heard there's more chance of loosing your licence if you're exceeding 100mph, so I like to know when I'm getting close

Change down to the wrong gear and you can go past the rev limiter.

Erm....Doesn't that defeat the object a little?

Rev limiter can't do anything if you accidentally change down to 2nd instead of 4th and hit 8,500 rpm. It can't dip the clutch for you, but it can stop you accelerating up past the limit.

I don't think I would like to test top speed of 100hp. I tried this once in Exige Mk1: the last 30km/h to reach 207km/h on GPS were lesson in pain. Than the fully floating front suspension of the dealers 100hp did not inspire confidence either. I like the fact that is easy to drive qickly around town and I keep my other toys for quick - illegal - cross country trips or track days.

There will be a rev limiter which will come into force no matter what gear you are in, although you are unlikely to be able to get to the limiter in 6th gear.

85/90 is the most Ive had out of mine (allegedly!), dont think I would trust it any higher, cant see being much left of the car and yourself if you hit anything at stupidly high speeds! I just enjoy the nippy factor of the car instead
