My BMC carbon air box just arrived this morning and I fitted it this tonight.
 
Have you any thoughts on how your going to plumb this in ..the corrugated tube that comes with these filters are well known for sapping power..:chin:
 
He means that the air that leads into the filter is going to be highly disturbed due to the inner surface being very rough, which will loose some of the power benefit. Also as the tubing is quite thin, the air passing through inside will be warmed by the engine heat.

Ideally you should find some silicone or plastic tubing which has a smooth inner tubing, which will provide a smoother flow of air to the air filter (more power).

Spot on..(y) people dont realise this and think the CDA is an induction kit when in fact is just a simple housed filter ..in fact the DIA is far better for flowing then the CDA..

Air feed pipe go here...

Its the pipe thats used its :yuck: and doesnt help the air to flow (n) if you can get a silicon hose made up as a direct replacment you would see an improvement over the tin foil one ..

I agree with you! (Added on my to do list)
Performance difference is between 2500 and 4500 rpm.
