Hello,

I wonder what kind of MPG and range is possible out of the 1.2 petrol engine with town and motorway use? My 1.5 Suzuki Swift is getting around about 38 - 39 around town and I get about 300 miles to a tank of fuel.

Thanks

When i had my 1.2 Eleganza I was getting around 38mpg around town and got anywhere between 210 and 250 miles per tank

How many gallons/litres does a Panda tank hold? I think what you've said already is enought to tip me toward a 100HP, thanks I only needed a little push!:)

My sister has a 1.2 Dynamic and she is currently getting 45+mpg in mixed driving conditions.

I think the highest it has seen is 50mpg, still in combined driving conditions.

Typical range commuting, mainly urban driving is 270 miles, with computer giving trip average of 42.5 ish mpg.

300+ miles has been done on longer distances. My advice is go for the multijet though as get 20% extra range and nicer drive (y)

Thanks for the help.

I have been thinking about looking for a 1.3 diesel version. I just wasn't too sure if the 1.3 multijet was any good.

Its the most economical and its quicker than the 1.2. Its a bit turbo lagtastic but you can drive around that. I've had mine for a couple of months now and obviously its never going to blow you away with its performance, but it is sprightly for what it is.

In my 100HP I am getting around 32 MPG and around 180 miles
per tank. Driving it like a granny at the moment to see how high I can get it. Currently at 35.8 MPG, so not alot differant to what i was getting in my 1.2 and alot more fun to drive.

1.2 dualogic driving on auto -economy getting 48mpg. only done 2400 miles from new so not fully run in yet

Caned my HP over a 160 mile continuous run over the Yorkshire Moors and it returned 37 MPG.

Caned for me means nominal RPM of around 5000 / 5500 and the odd 6000 RPM with speeds between 60 and 80 MPH along B roads.

Around town 34.7 MPG (y)

Mine got 6 litres/100km (according to the trip comp 5.4)or could go 500km (300 miles) on a tank before the warning light would go on (5 litres remaining). That's for journeys combining city and motorway driving 50/50 and with A/C on

Let's see what the 100hp does.

I've seen a high of 49.1MPG in the summer but recently in this cold spell it has been around 42MPG. I'm driving like a granny on this tank to see what I can manage - fuel computer currently says 46.3MPG after 244 miles but I never trust it. I use the brim tank drive brim tank method of calculation. I hope now it is run in proper I might be able to crack the 50MPG mark once we get a bit warmer weather.

1.2 Dualogic 40mpg mixed use and 48 on a run - but only 750 miles on it so should improve!

It depends how you drive it, even in economy mode you could still floor it & use a lot of fuel. When pulling away in 1st gear on a slight uphill slope you will sometimes see the revcounter go right up to the 80mph zone if it doesn't change quick enough, It always does this at an island near me & I tap the lever if it does this, you soon weigh up the way to utilise the Dualogic to its best(y)

Aye, I've noticed the reluctance to change up from 1st sometimes (I live at the top of an 1 in 10). Also I need to manually change from 2nd to 1st to avoid a mid-bend powersapping autochange halfway round the entry to my street:bang: which is stil however less of a powersap than I get when on my bike:yuck:

Other than that, the dualogic is bleedin' great(y)

I thought I would resurect this thread to give my latest mpg now I have covered 4,000 miles on my 1.2 dualogic.
Been on the M5 down to Somerset today & at an average 60-65 mph I got the consumption up to 66 mpg in parts on 250mile round trip! :D Dropped to 61.5 most of the way back:( must have been uphill
Averages 53mpg on local driving at home.
