Hiya All,

I have a couple of questions for diesel Panda owners. If you have the older (roughly 05 plate diesel sporting) or a brand new diesel Panda, has yours got the Isofix clip points on the rear seats (holds a baby seat in place) as I'm expecting my first born and wanna know if this model has this feature. I know the BHP's have it but not sure on the standard models.

Also on the diesel sporting has anyone got Air con in there car? I haven't come across any for sale which has the lovely cooling system.

Cheers

If you get the sliding rear seat option, it has isofix. (I've got the sliding rear seat.)

There aren't that many prams that will fit in the boot because of the fashion for huge wheels and a wide rear axle, but these two do...

1. Jane Carrera Pro
2. Bebe Confort Loola (and Loola Up)

I know there are others now who recognise the size of the Mini boot is even smaller then the Panda, but I can't remember who makes them...

I have the Jane Carrera Pro and find it great. It fits in the boot with the seat slid right back so doesn't use up back seat space. The car seats that fit on it are not isofix (Matrix & Rebel). I have the Matrix. It's dearer and heavier, but you can lie your baby flat in it and so protect their delicate backs by not having them in the unnatural seated position up till they are 9 kgs (You are only supposed to have your baby in a seated position for two hours or less). It can also be used in the normal seated position too up to 13 kgs. I find it easy to fit into the car in the lie-flat position. It is held in place by two clips which hold it onto the seatbelts at either side. I've only put the seat in the upright mode a couple of times so I'll soon need to practice that!

I may be corrected on this, but I don't think that either of the pushchairs I have mentioned come with an isofix baby carrier. I originally wanted isofix, but it's totally ridiculous what some pram people will try to sell you. I mean like one tried to tell me how easy it was to remove wheels (yes - in the rain how handy!), and another of how I could remove the parcel shelf and fold down the seat at one side. Do like what I did. Laugh out loud at them, tell them not to be stupid and go elsewhere.

And when buying... Bring your car and try it out!

And congratulations on the baby news. Babies are great! And don't listen to the brigade of people who will say that you can't put a baby in a Panda. :D
