Well it's that time of year where screen wash is a neccessity and you're forever filling up the bottle. Well I used mine for probably the 2nd time since owning the car back in September, usually wash it every week so haven't needed to use them. Anyway, i've got to say i'm really disappointed. At first I thought "Cool, 6 jets of water!" but after around the third squirt it turned into a dribble. Upon further investigation the little plastic cylinder that houses the 3 holes for the jets had fallen out of the side of the main body of the washer jet and luckily was lying on top of the scuttle panel (If you look at where you stick the screwdriver for washer adjustment, that had literally fallen out of the side). I re-inserted only to find (parked up) that each time the squirters are operated, the little things slide out bit by bit under the pressure of the water.

Has anybody else found this?

I am intending going to the dealers next week while off work and getting them to fit 2 new ones (Not that that will solve much) and in the mean time I am going to look at fitting a different washer from a different car.

Not had that issue myself.

Only issue similar (kinda) that I have is the noise the wipers make when in use :bang:

(y) wow...deja vu...I lost drivers side wash on my 100HP over the weekend, got round to sorting it this afternoon. Exactly the same, insert lying in scuttle, well it,s back in again , cant to seem to adjust it correctly. Problem is, is it meant to come out, and will it keep coming out with water pressure.

I was just about to post a new thread asking the same thing! My 100hp does exactly the same. I keep getting out to push the nozzles back in!!

This can't just be a 100hp problem, can it? These washer jets must at least be fitted to all the other panda models, and probably other fiat models.

Hopefully there is a modified part, or maybe ones from another model will fit in place.

How hard can it be to design washer jets, not exactly a new idea. I think my old man's car had them back in the 60's !!!:bang:

I've never had that problem and I've been using my washers since march (I use them quite often every week).
I actually think they work better than the washers on the Stilo I had before.

Suprised they don't use the washers on the Bravo on the 100hp and the rest of the range. Maybe it is a genuine new feature?

Basically rather than jets there is a wide spray - similar to what comes out of a jet-washer. It's brilliant for getting a decent coverage of water before the wipe. And this comes from someone who had a perfectly healthy Marea 8-jet washer before.

I have the same on my 1.2 Dynamic. If you suddenly seem to have only two jets it means the little blighter is working it's way out! I can't think of a way of securing it, i wouldn't want to glue it in the wrong position. Might try some Araldite on the outer end when the jets are set up correctly, it should only need a light blob which should prevent it from moving?

If its anything like the ones on my GP i find them rubbish at anything above 30mph and you cant adjust them im seriously considering going to the scrappys and getting a couple off a ford fiesta/KA and fitting them to the plastic trim on the bonnet....

No problems like that on my 05 Sporting. The problem I have is that the washer bottle is too small. :(
The Coupe's washer bottle is about a gallon!

RESULT!!! - Went to the local dealers today, told them the issue with the washer jets and they said no probs, have ordered me 2 new ones and will give me shout when they are in, all under warranty (y)(y)(y)

Has anyone had time to get into a dealer during the pre-xmas rush and have their washers sorted yet?

I'll be taking mine to the local YTS centre in the new year, it would be nice to know if there is a modified part, or was it just a dodgy batch?

I can't see how simply replacing them with the same parts will cure the problem..

In the meantime, as meat loaf used to say, 2 out of 6 (jets working) aint bad

Still awaiting a phone call from the dealers to say they have received them, gonna wait until after xmas now (And probably new year) before I take this one up again.

No such problem on my 2005 4x4 but just checked my daughter's 2006 Active and on one side the jet was working its way out.
Forum is good for this sort of thing, she could have lost the use of the screenwashers on a dark and dirty night in the middle of nowhere but that won't happen now.
