After reading on this forum that my Panda Eleganza (on '07 plate) should have had a MP3 CD headunit (and it didn't) I finally got one installed this week!

I politely rang the dealer who said he would make enquiries, which he did. Subsequently he said that Fiat really wanted nothing to do with it, so he kindly said that when they got a Panda in with a MP3 unit in he would swap it. Well six months went by and I didn't hear,so thought that that was that, but no a call came last week, I went to the dealers and 5 mins later a brand new unit was put in - result. Only thing is I probably won't use it, as I'm abouut as technical as a rice pudding, but it's principal of the thing!

PS. My Panda is brill and I've done nearly 10,000 miles in it, only thing is it's black and a bugger to keep clean!

Took me 6 months to get mine too.
Must be how long it takes Fiat to sort themselves out.

shall be definately calling tomorrow or monday! altho i've just pulled my hu out and it has the yellow connector empty and ready to use! bonus but i will still be calling the dealer!!

well my dealer didn't want to know, so i have logged a complaint to fiat themselves now regarding it.

Looking on the Fiat site under equipment for the Panda 100, it says:

Radio / CD / MP3 Player Standard

yeah i saw that bit and even my manual says mp3 cd player.
gotta wait for fiat to get back to me, i want a mp3 cd player!!

well, just to update, the dealer confirmed to fiat!! that my car should've had an mp3 cd player, but fiats tech dept stated that it isn't the same as the blue and me system in the 500. i said i know that but the cd player and the mp3 cd player are the same unit but with different features.
im now awaiting fiat to call me back, but so far happy with the way they are dealing with it!!

Mine came with the MP3 CD but it's not very reliable, it'll sometimes refuse to read a disc mid play and then refuse to eject it. Same problem with MP3 CDRs and original CDs. Hopefully persuade the dealer to get one in stock for my service next month so it can be swapped with no faff/wait.
