Hi guys,
I appear to be having some trouble with my bluetooth, it connects to the phone when it wants to, i.e i could be driving for 5 mins before it connects to my phone sometimes or other times it connects straight away? there seems to be no consistancy to when it will connect, does anyone else have this problem, i hope its just a software glitch that can be sorted via a ecm update :bang:

I have that problem too,now when I get in I keep the Green Telephone button pressed for a few seconds and it connects everytime, not ideal but it saves a trek to the dealers.

If bluetooth is enabled on your phone before you get into the 100HP and obviously previously paired and you turn on the ignition it seems to connect straight away....

BUT

If you have your car running and have been driving around for some time and then decide to enable bluetooth then there seems to be around a 30 - 60 second delay on it connecting regardless of me holding the green button...

Strange

My Nokia always connects about five seconds after starting the car.

Mine seems to connect within 5 to 20 seconds of starting the car, never seems to take any longer, could try re-pairing and see if that helps?

Bluetooth is always tricky in cars, for no good reason that I know of. A client was telling me the other day that he went for the bluetooth option on his brand new BMW 320i, only to find it was only compatible with certain Nokias, none of which he liked, and no other makes at all.

That's strange cos a friend of mine work's for bmw and he gets a new car every few months, and he's never had a problem with his bluetooth and he's using a sony ericsson, never mentioned nothing about nokia.

But back to me and my problem. ive tried repairing the phones, and the phones ive tried are nokia e60, moto v3i (red) and a sony ericsson z520i and finally a t-mobile mda compact. it cant be the phones.. and all the phones work fine with bluetooth headset's (tested a nokia headset and motorola). i guess i should really go to the dealer.

I use an O2 XDA - bluetooth is always on, and as soon as I get into the car, it usually beeps to say it is connected within 10 seconds or so.

I reckon you should go back to the dealer, see what they say :spin:

Mine takes 2-3 minutes to connect. Only time it does it more quickly is when I've only switched off the ignition for a short time (such as refuelling).

Try clearing the memory and starting again.

BMWs aren't Bluetooth for Nokia only, they only supply charging cradles for Nokias.

Im not worried about the connection thou maybe due to my problem with my system, people who phone me say that theu cant hear me very well, just seems to be very quiet, does anyone know how to turn up the microphone, seems to be my only issue with the system at the moment, anyone else had this problem?

In the Menu of the stereo there is an 'External volume' section, this has probably been set too low, adjust it to about 7 or 8 and try it again

Can anyone explain to me how to get handsfree mobile operation via bluetooth and what is required such as the radio, etc. Does Fiat offer this as an extra which one can purchase? I'd like to have this contraption if its not a great hassle and expence.
Thanks guys.

Ok i finally went to the dealer, and they said its a very common problem on the punto, and they would order me a new box (control unit i assume) i asked if it could be linked to the faulty stereo i have to, but they say no its a seperate fault, so now i have another mp3 stereo on order to. so with any luck i should have a fully working bluetooth and stereo system,
