Hi all, I've recently splashed the cash on a base panda multijet dynamic diesel. I think (anyway hope) it's going to be a bargain. ~The dealer's being somewhat vague about delivery - I've had quotes of 4-16 weeks depending on when and who I've spoken to! This means it could be next week or late October or anytime in between.I understand it's being built to order, though it's a standard model ( urine (sorry mambo) yellow exterior and dysentery beige (aka sand/grey)interior). You've probably guessed I put cost before appearance, and I've added precisely zero options. How long have people had to wait for these?, and has anyone ordered and received one fairly recently?

On a separate note I'll probably have a 1997 cinq 900 SX free to a good home when it finally gets here!

If it's a basic model with no options then it should be relatively quick. I went with a load of options so it took mine 12 weeks.

I ordered my Panda 100HP in june, yes its a bit more than a standard MJ diesel, but I was told it would have to be made on the production line, fair enough I thought. I got a phonecall last saturday to tell me its on the boat ?(from where? Italy, england??) and I should expect it around august (Paddle boat?)

Either way, its a 100HP with no optional extras, its a bog standard model, like yours and Im having to wait til aug. Maybe Im just being an a**hole, but I think its a helluvah long time

I ordered mine on the weekend and with a few options I've been quoted that the car will be ready for collection by the end of September, not unreasonable I thought.

last time i checked there were roads from england to here

I ordered my Eleganza mid April and received delivery mid July,which was about as expected,but apparently the car arrived in the UK end of May according to the garage, then a wait of best part of six weeks for it to get to them.
Well pleased with it,concerns about MP3 compatability having read all the posts quickly disappeared seeing the logo theron,couldn't get it to play them for some time mind but eventually putting the cd in the right way up resolved that.

I managed to source a MJ locally and that took 2 days, but had to pay extra for the AC, and NOB paint. I was told by the salesman that if I wanted to place special order it could take 6-8 weeks, though they may try and source one through another dealer to reduce time. The only problem I see with that in your case is that most dealers buy in models with AC and metallic paint for group stock and demos. The one thing you will be glad about is this - I test drove it and liked and now having had to live with for 5 weeks and 2200 miles, I'm even more impressed with it and so are the family as it goes from Hampshire to cornwall on 12 quid of diesel one way!! Knowing what I now know, would I have waited for it - yes. And if you know a serviceman or woman your dealer can get 23.5% off the price from Fiat UK.

Ordered similar basic MJet in the last week of June from Perrys. I was advised that it would be late August, maybe early September before it would be delivered. The factory in Poland's production apparently slows in August because of the summer holidays. Or so I was told.

My 100HP took about 2-weeks as the dealer had a cancellation so was allocated one that had nearly arrived, also helped that I gave him two colour choices.

Hope you get your Panda soon, they are a brilliant car.

I saw a black 100hp at my local dealer, went to look again (dad in tow, giz a loan dad) and he'd sold it. But had a grey one I could test drive if I wanted, it still had stickers across the door seals saying "do not open" and haddn't had it's PDI checks done.

Drove it (that was Saturday), and picked it up on Thursday the same week so a 5 day delivery time on mine

This makes intriguing reading. As my Panda 100HP I ordered on Jan 3rd in a rare colour (white) and with practically every option, yet it was at the dealer and ready for me to collect on March 1st.

Were Fiat in a hurry for mine? Guess it might explain why they fitted the wrong head unit

I ordered mine - a dualogic aircon - on June 21st, not heard from the dealer as yet but he said Sept also , might pop down & see whats happening
