Hi Guys

Just bought a 100HP today in Black, ex demo and looking forward to stealing the keys now and again off the wife.

Just a few questions, if anybody can shed some light...

Having read about the MP3 headunit, ours doesn't have the symbol on the facia below the CD slot, since the car was registered on 31/10/06, where the MP3 head units specc'd back then?

Also the bluetooth, do Fiat update that now and again...i.e. firmware etc?

Think that's all for now...but no doubt will have some more soon.

Great forum btw!

Hi there, welcome to the FIATForum! Bit quiet on here at the moment (7 hours since your post!) but I'm sure a 100HP owner will be along soon. I guess they are all out exploring their rev range these fine summer evenings; I know I would be... :D

Just back from driving mine about...well, back from work :D

It should have the mp3 unit so complain lots and they should get one sorted for you.

As for the bluetooth I'm not too sure. I would like to hope so as then the car can keep up to date with the latest technology phones.

Hi there and welcome to the Forum.

My HP was registered on 10th January 2007 and mine didn't come with the MP3 logo. I wasn't fussed as I'm a bit of a stranger to MP3 technology in any case.

Not aware of any FIAT bluetooth updates so far.

I realise my answers are probably of no use to you but hopefully another owner will be along in a minute with more help.

In the meantime......ENJOY it!(y)

Hi and welcome.
I was told by fiat it should have mp3 and finally it has been fitted, my car was also registered around the same date as yours, if you're in any doubt, fiat customer services is only a free phonecall away and they should put it in black and white for you, not sure of any firmware on the bluetooth yet.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll bring a mp3 disc with me tomorrow when I pick it up and see if it works, if not I'll complain, as both the sales guys I dealt with stated it was MP3.

As for BT updates, I'll trawl the web just in case there is one about and let you know...btw who makes the head unit?

And your wife wants you to spoil it with parking sensors mate?!

Can't see any obvious obstacles in your driveway.;)

Red badge and rear light clusters look good against the black don't they?

Enjoy it!!! Both of you.

It's not the driveway I'm worried about...is more the low walls and high kerbs that she tends to clout....sorry dear!

God bless her, but time to trade her in I think! Didn't want to say anything before but I mean, parking sensors on a Panda? My arse overhangs further than the back of a Panda (and I tend to know where that is at all times). But I know what you mean, my missus has hit low walls and backed into several gentleman in Tesco's car park (fnarr fnarr)....

All you need to do is tell her to back into the space until the nose is level with the car next to it and you'll find there's several feet of space behind.

Why don't you leave the poor cars alone and just trade in your wives?
It's late, hee hee:eek:

You do of course realise that we're all pulling your leg here mate. Fully understand your concerns.

Mind you if we do ever manage to organise a 100HP national meet your wife's car could come in useful - we'll let you guys park up first then the rest of us can just line up perfectly with her without fear of hitting anything.;)

Oh, and as for low walls - this is bad carpark design. As an architect I always allow an overhang space of about 700mm from the face of the kerb to any vertical surface (kerb & slab width) to allow drivers to touch the kerb with their tyres and still avoid the bumper hitting the wall/barrier.

Only thing is, since I lowered the GTV the front splitter keeps catching on the kerb - so you can't win.
