Collected this afternoon. Only got 20 miles on it so far. Definitely a fun car.

Comments:

- I have an MP3 head unit - Yeah!
- Bluetooth phone sounds a bit muffled - is this normal? (not my phone - works fine in other cars)
- It handles like a go-kart :slayer:
- Red is great. Brighter than our Tornado Red Golf GTi
- Upgraded stereo still doesn't sounds brilliant IMO, but I've not played with the equalizer yet. Big subwoofer box under the driver's seat though - I feel like a Halfords bolt on boy :D

Now can I go and drive it please?

Excellent Trefor,
Deffinately go have fun
If you get a chance between play times, would love to see a pic of that sub
Good to hear you got the MP3, no problems there then
Enjoy your new toy

Pleased for you.

Disappointing to hear about the stereo as I was pleasantly surprised by the standard version.

Phone kit is a bit muffly but I'm not sure what the problem is as the repeated voice tag is nice and clear.

Actually now I've worked out how to turn off the loudness it is a lot better. I still think it is calling out for better speakers in the doors though.

How easy is it to take off the door panels? Anyone know what size the std front/rear speakers are?

It's very easy to take off the door panels. It's hold on by 3 philips screw and 2 unbraco screws. You need to take off the 2 plastic panels up by the door handle (one is the fake tweeter thingy and the other is behind the door handle).
Then you pull out the door panel. It's hold on to the door by 7 white plastic thingys (they are quite tight, so you need to pull hard but be careful).
You also need to remove the panel up by the side mirrors (it's not screwed in place).

The front speakers are 6.5" but you need a speaker adapter frame.
I think the rear speakers are 5.25" but i'm not sure, as i've seen adapter frames for the rear speakers to fit 6.5" speakers, so i'm not sure about those.

Think I have a cure for the phone kit...

First thing to do is set the stereo to an input that has no output or you'll deafen yourself, either set it to AUX or tune the radio to where there's no signal.

Then press the MENU button and cycle through 'til you come to EXTERNAL AUDIO VOL, crank this up to somewhere between 25 and 30 (this is why you don't want it to be playing anything!). Exit the menu and you'll find the calls louder but more importantly much clearer, if you just wind the volume knob up during a call it only gets louder.

Thanks - I found this option when it was tuned to a radio channel  Will see if it does anything for the phone quality (think I turned it down when fiddling).

I have that sub! Makes a difference doesn't it?
Your car looks great in red.

Me thinks you need to post some pics up of your TVR. I can see a bit f it in one of the pics and it looks stunning (y)

No probs. That's exactly what I did and couldn't here the phone at all after that.

You might find this useful with regard to the speakers...

It's on the Italian site but all in pictures.

Thanks, need to take a closer look at that tomorrow. I wonder if I actually have speakers in the tweeter holes in the front doors. The upgraded kit is supposed to have 6 speakers I think.

What a fantastic collection of cars you have! (y)

Can you post a pic of the headunit? Want to take a bit of proof to the dealer nextr week that mine is definately the wrong one!

The upgraded one does indeed have the tweeters behind those little grills and standard dual range are replaced by woofers.
