I quite like the old style raised number plates, in the 90's my dad had a black Fiat 132 Bellini which had the metal plates with the raised digits, he still has the plate hanging up but the car was unfortunately written off by an articulated lorry pulling out, the 132 crippled the lorry cab making the lorry undrivable but the 132 still started & drove home. I'm not a fan off the 4d or gel plates. My Panda has pressed metal plates which were £40 delivered as the standard acrylic plates are such poor quality & look horrible, although not the same as the proper ones they are the closest you can get with all the legal markings for modern cars. I'm going to get the proper raised ones for the Mini when it is all rebuilt as there are still very few places that do the proper original type for classic cars.
