The new exhaust arrived today and it looks to be good quality and more to the point the correct shape. Got to wait to fit it though as helping our son move into his first proper house over the next two weekends.

So finally got to fit the exhaust or not as I found out. I dropped the old one piece system off in the process finding two of the hanger rubbers were perished. I the offered up the new centre section only to find it was too long and the wrong shape at the front. At this point I should have put the old system back but stupidly I had to cut one of the silencer hangers off to get it out of the rubber. So I have ended up putting the new silencer on, which fits fine. There's a but coming.. It is much louder than standard so we will see how it goes. It has a proper rasp when you give it som revs.

Loud...?
The build up of carbon makes things less free flowing..and tinny

Or.. have you lost some baffling in the swap ??

I suspect there is a lot less baffling, sounds a bit like my old V twin a lot deeper and raspy on overruns. Not sure if my wife will like it every day though.

@varesecrazy..

We still have the Panda and are still running the old original centre section and the loud rear box my wife actually likes the rasp it makes. Looking into it more deeply the rear box looks like it was designed to fit an earlier model but it works. I have found a guy in Leeds who has an ad on ebay doing a stainless system for £400 including postage so that looks like an option. Car is due a service this month so when I have got it up in the air I will have a look at how the centre section is doing.
Here is the link to the ebay one.
