So - I took the plunge and booked my Panda Cross twinair into Conrad Anderson in Birmingham to have cruise control fitted last week.

It's not a cheap job but it's not something that I could do myself. I am really pleased with the job and it looks like it has always been installed.

It works well - I had the GC5 stalk fitted which has three buttons so you can pre-set your choice of speeds.

Nice, I might approach them with a potential groups buy if anyone else is interested?

I do miss it, and it would be nice to have ,but at the cost for the kit alone makes it not a priority for me for now.

I am teetering and would swoop if there was a discount.

Didn’t we read here recently that someone had aftermarket cruise fitted only for it to throw up all sorts of errors?
i think it was ringa who posyed oroginally and stated Conrad Anderson worked perfectly. Others have said the same. They warrant the product and any adverse effect on the car. My research suggests they are selling a quality product.

I too had Conrad Anderson install cruise control last year - I have had no problems and agree it is a quality product. I seem to remember the comment about issues with a Conrad Anderson cruise control was on a car in a different country (if my recollection is correct...) so possibly not installed by Conrad Anderson as you can buy the kit to install yourself.....

I did and it was indeed faultless for 7 years and 50,000 miles. Highly recommended, but with all good things in life, not cheap unfortunately.

I installed the CanM8/NCS Precision Cruise Control in my Panda last night. It was easy to install and took me just under an hour and a half. So far, the system works perfectly. The price was £232.20 including VAT and delivery.

Looks good!
How does the accelerator harness thing work?

There’s a “Y” cable that comes with the kit. You just unplug the cable from the accelerator and then plug that in between. Installation is really easy. I think I spent most of the time deciding where to drill the hole for the stalk!

That is really comforting to know! I had images in my head of stripping wires, or some electromechanical thing!
I think you've just convinced me to get one at some point!
