Can anyone help. I just got a new (to me) Panda Cross model which has the unpowered phone holder and adjacent USB socket. I have an older TomTom blue&me which uses the same bayonet fitting but gets power from within the dash socket itself. Now, sticking a finger down the hole, it feels like there are contacts there but I don’t want to get the old unit stuck if I’m wrong..... can anyone shed light on this? My guess is FIAT would use up old fittings so contacts might still be live? TIA Martin

Sorry -don’t know. Can you see down it using phone camera? (I might take a look into mine for you tomorrow). I would doubt Fiat would connect anything to the newer, unpowered housing. The newer Panda uses uConnect, not Blue&ME, so will the TomTom still work (Again, I don't know... I use Waze or Google Maps on my phone both of which pass the audio instructions over bluetooth to the uConnect radio just fine - and without using Fiat's Panda app which is pretty poor)

greenfintry Here’s an attempt to take a photo down into the mounting ‘hole’. The blue thing is a pen holding the spring-loaded cover down. I don’t know what the TomTom mount looks like (mine of course is the ‘dumb’ phone holding one), but if it has contacts on the side nearest the screen, then nothing in the phone-only version to connect to.
