General Buying a new Fiat Panda 4x4

General Buying a new Fiat Panda 4x4

Feeling only slightly stupid here...

Then again a Motability 1st January 2021 article (which came up in a search for a 2021 price list) are saying there have been 'some 2021 price drops on Panda'.

Just need to have a look at an actual 2021 price list then :)

Thanks for tip yes never heard great things about that dealer will probably travel.

Easily done. Fiat price lists seem to appear in a Google Search so I imagine as soon as the January 2021 is available we'll be able to download it. I suppose they couldn't produce it before the Christmas break because of Brexit uncertainties at the time.

Definitely worthwhile shopping around - as people have said the prices can vary wildly and you'll easily save a couple of thousand by getting a pre-reg or even one that's unregistered but already in stock. Especially given the current retail environment, I imagine.

A mini Jeep 4x4 is due in 2022 on a Peugeot? platform.
As Jeep is now part of Fiat can we expect this with a Panda front end?

That (presumably speculative) render is very clearly based on the current Panda 4x4.

There’s been talk of a Panda-based “mini Jeep” ever since Fiat acquired Chrysler.

I couldn't find a real picture.

There's lots of different renders with the Jeep grill on the front of a Mini, a four door Suzuki Jimny and even a Yaris cross?

Can't see why they'd badge a new Peugeot-based small 4x4 as a Fiat when they could badge it as a Jeep and charge more for it.

I would have thought Fiat would want to sell an Italian version in Italy.

I think the current Jeep Renegade is built in the same Italian plant as the 500X.

There could be Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot and Citroen versions of the same vehicle.

I'm going to keep my 4x4 for another year and see what happens.

Bought a Panda cross 4x4 (Waze) pre-registered with 7 miles on clock last month from a car supermarket type operation who are also fiat dealers. The tyre inflation kit was there in boot as it had no spare, but there was no jack or wheel brace either. Have had no response from dealer as to whether the car with an inflation kit should have these last two items? Anyone know? Thanks

you don’t get a jack or wheel brace when car has inflation kit.

Thanks HH. I thought that must be the case. Guess I'll have to look into getting them.

Hate to bump such an old thread, but it is mine, and is sort of an outcome...

Looks like the timing chain blew up on my 2010 Cross last night (a week after the MOT, natch) though we were recovered very quickly - to a pub(!) - so not all bad, then home after a swift half whilst the guy phoned around for a transporter (there wasn't one, nice landlady let it stay there overnight and it came back to me this morning)

So will soon be the owner of a 2021 Cross. As the kids say, Yay! At first I was tempted to get another oldie, had heard rumour of a COVID inspired, last-ditch makeover for the final model year of the current Panda due to delays on the new one, but some of the prices round here, blimey! £2k basically gets you an 11 year old, 5 owner, 100k Eleganza whichever way you look. Nothing private to be found at all locally.

(Will also post this in the right area, on the night, but for those interested in fixer-uppers a 99p start is planned for the stricken beast on eBay, we're in Weston-super-Mare in case anyone is interested. I will post a link Sunday night)

This was like me when I was looking for a car 3 years ago, my old mini was getting a bit ropey & the gearbox was going so decided to look for a banger as a daily, I got quite a shock when looking as to how much used cars were going for, I was used to paying a few hundred quid for a car but then soon realised that those days were gone as Pandas, Puntos, Seicento Sportings & the odd Stilo were around £2k - £3k for decent examples & some of them can't even be bothered to clean the car which would suggest what the rest of the car must be like. When I was looking I saw a year old Tipo Estate for £7k at Bishops Fiat in Guildford which looked ok until you walked around the front & saw the huge scuff that was down to metal & across the bonnet & both wings, so I walked away & that was when I decided to buy a new car. In the end I got my Panda from Thames Fiat pre reg with 10 miles on it with mats & years tax for £7,995 which I thought was quite cheap as a 3 year old same spec Panda at the time was around £6-£7k.

I'm both appalled and secretly pleased that 11 year old Fiats are going for £2k :) One local dealer had a non Cross 2010 4x4 in very average condition for £3k. I too was hoping for a £400 05-07 Panda to tide us over until next year but they just don't seem to exist.

Here's the link - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164975624648 - as you don't pay % fees on car listings, I will cheerfully give anyone on this forum with an account at least a month old 10% off the hammer price
Always liked the green Cross Mk 1s - such a shame that this one pegged out on you.

If I wasn't on the other side of the country I'd be sorely tempted. My daughter's got her eye on my yellow TwinAir Cross, but I'd like still to have a Panda 4x4 for wintertime.

Hope you get more than buttons for it. It looks in great nick.

Thanks, yes it's a shame and in other circumstances I'd be having it fixed. That said looking forward to my 8 month earlier than planned new one. Interest seems high with lots of unsolicited offers (£150, er, no, as ever appended with the ever hopeful 'and will collect tomorrow...') and 20+ watchers.
