Hello, car is now 7 and a half and on original exhaust. can anyone recommend a decent replacement. dont mind paying more for something that lasts!

Seven-plus years is not bad... exhausts last so much longer these days (long gone the need to replace every few years). In fact, I don’t think I’ve replaced one on any car in the past 15 years or so? Does your need doing? The rear silencer can start to look a bit ropey long before it actually starts to fail.

Just had a look under my 2018 TA 4x4. The rear (crossways) silencer appears to be made of good quality stainless steel. It is marked "Magni Marrelli" and is also stamped "A600" and "C8"
Absolutely no signs of any deterioration.
Hope this helps

My local garage searched high and low for a suitable replacement for my TA 4x4. In the end I had to stump up the £550 for a FIAT replacement.

There is an Italian company called MTS who make a replacement exhaust for the TwinAir Trekking and 4x4 its around £170. Just find an MTS supplier locally part numbers are 01.43138 for the front to back section and 01.61378 for the rear silencer box. They do it in two pieces for easier fitment and so you don't need to buy the whole system if you don't want to. Got mine from RSJ car care centre on 01902 401444 after being recommended by lunchbeers.

My Panda is only 3 and a half years old & the centre section also looks grotty, when it needs doing I'm going to have a stainless system from the cat back made up to standard spec, I think it will be better in the long run as I intend to keep the Panda for many years.

We will also be keeping ours for many years, our Fiesta was 20 years old when the tin worm took hold too much. That had 3 standard exhausts during its life which probably works out about the same price as a stainless one. We were quoted between £480 and £800 plus vat for a standard replica in stainless.
