I’m thinking of getting an Antarctica panda (diesel) but the previous owner has removed the penguin stickers... does anyone know how to get hold of them? Or does anyone have a good image I can print from?

Many thanks
Matt

PS diesel or TA???

Hmmm.. I know I'm a bit of a stickler for originality, but stickers? They get grubby around the edges, especially on a white car, and eventually fade and peel off.

But if you must have them why not do something in a similar vein like this?

Or... (I know its a Panda) a Polar Bear instead

Also Looking at a TA one - same price but 10k more miles

Plus it already has the penguin sticker so that’s a bonus

Old post ..I know

But 5speed vs 6 is as big a thing..

Our panda TA only has 5 and it really highlights the shortcomings in a TIGHT motor

The diesel flexibility makes it far nicer in mixed driving

But a 6 speed TA is great :)

Despite what the press tried to tell everyone, a Euro6 diesel has no added taxation (apart from slightly higher first-year cost, after that, the annual renewal is the same as a petrol car), no restriction on use in towns (even in London's ULEZ zone) and still offers lower carbon emissions (causing global warming) than the TA (or many other petrol cars). And 55mpg plus without even trying (in my 4x4 version). What the press failed to tell everyone was that only diesels registered before 2017, or most petrol cars registered before 2006, are prevented from entering ULEZ zones.

Screenshot from Transport for London's web checker: and the .gov checker confirms no extra charges in Bath or Birmingham when their ULEZ zones come into effect next year.

Certainly up until recently, the Penguin decals were available for the Antarctica - I bought a pair for a colour-coded trailer we are built for our Antarctica.

I would not worry about them peeling or becoming damaged - our 63-plate TwinAir Antarctica still has pristine decals in tact with nothing more than a little care when washing those areas. They are marmitey - some people will physically recoil, but others absolutely love them. I once had an owner of a white BMW X5 pull up alongside and ask where to get them! Not sure they’d suit the otherwise somber image of an X5!

Good points about diesels, @hertshillhopper, though being a 2013(-14?) model only, any Antarctica will likely be affected by the ULEZ changes? Not sure.

The TwinAir engine divides opinion - some claim it noisey and unrefined, others enjoy a more characterful engine. I fall into the latter camp - in fact once spinning at a cruise of 2-3000rpm, the engine is very smooth, quiet and refined, especially in ECO. It’s when you ask full throttle, ECO-off that the motor becomes more vocal. I quite like it - it reminds me of an old A-series Mini, crosses with a 2CV in both noise and delivery (lots of mid-range, no gains felt from revving too high).

Anyway - good luck in your search. You can see a photo of our TwinAir Antarctica here: https://flic.kr/p/Gu9Lpa

I think you’re kidding yourself if you think diseasel cars are on anything but borrowed time. Even post-2017 ones. The same is true of petrol cars, of course, but they’ll have the soot-belchers banned from cities first.

LOVE THE TRAILER!

if you have a good image of one, get vista print to do a bumper sticker or the like and trim it back to the image only

Looks more like the sticker for a Cross ;)
A very cross cross
Wehn I put a new hatch on the MK1 cross, (wife reversed into a fallen elder tree) I bought new lettering from eBay spelling ‘livid’…and I had to explain why?
