I'm tempted to get over to the dark side... Buy a 500 Abarth. No more holding my breath while waiting for a (relatively) fast Panda.

That is what i did, it took to long, for FIAT to introduce a descent engine in the Panda after the departure of the TwinAir turbo.
Still no 120 hp 3T Firefly or even the 150 hp 4T Firefly engines.

I'm very happy that i have moved to a Abarth 595 with descent engine. :D

You will never get a 120 or 150 hp panda high horse power is simply not the target market for the Panda
Arbarth 500 maybe

I really looking forward to see what future the FIAT Panda and Abarth models will get.

Only a fully electric Panda will not work, IMHO, too expensive for a base FIAT model.

The FIAT TIPO has a 100 hp 3T Firefly engine version, would be perfect for the Panda too, to replace the 85 TwinAir.

The 70 hp Mild Hybrid is simply much te slow for outside the city.

You may not need to hold your breath any more, but you will have to clench your teeth to stop them falling out. Definitely one for the younger generations. I was ready to buy an ex demo in 2019 but decided the ride was just to hard for me so Panda 4x4 it was.

I don't think i belong to the younger generation anymore. :D:D:D

Designed and built in 1963...
I'm still loving my 100Hp. Probably meant for a younger generation too, but after almost 8 years I'd like something newer and probably a bit quicker.
And since I've driven Fiats since '92 and I need a towbar an Abarth seems to be the logical step.

PS my son (younger generation) had a TA and it just wasn't my cup of tea.

please god let this be real.

It would make a lot of sense for FIAT to start using the 100 hp 3T Firefly engine in the Panda.
Because for the TwinAir Turbo engine "still in use in the 4x4 Panda" is the end near.
If FIAT want to keep the Panda 4x4 alive it need something more then a 70 hp Hybrid motor. (4 hp hybrid system)
In that case they need a more powerful engine to make a Pande 4x4 work, otherwise they would already put the 1.0ltr Hybrid in the Panda 4x4 if that would work.
So when they start using de 3T firefly engine for the 4x4, it would make sense to make it also exclusively available for only the Panda Sport version, to replace the 70 hp engine. (70 hp is not very sport like) or gave it 2 engine choices.
