I have a problem. I keep buying pandas.
This is now my 5th! Second panda cross. Third twin air engine.
Did have a cross a year or so ago but it had lots of gear box and clutch issues. Was an unlucky car (I think). Went away to a ford fiesta active which was fine. Good enough car. Did everything we needed it to do. Apart from one thing. SMILE!
The Panda is such a fun car, full of character and smiles. In my opinion the twin-air engine make it even more fun. So eager, hilarious lawn mower noise, so good to drive (although not as smooth, refined or grown up as other cars).
It's my wife's car and she wouldn't want any car (even if money was no object).
Loving the grey. Would have gone for yellow but as I have a yellow camper van we thought double yellow might be too much!

What a shame if the twinair goes. Felt like a revolution when it first came out, and despite never getting the promised MPG, it was always a fun ride.

The TwinAir turbo is still the best engine been available for the Panda.

Sadly enough it's end is near, or production has already ended.

The new 3 cilinder Firefly 70 Hybrid is very slow, and apparently there will not be any other engines available. :(

The 1.2 69 is still available, what us FIAT enthusiasts want is a Panda Cross 100HP. I’m in the US so that will never happen, but it would be interesting to see as a final edition. I know the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo 105 was an option, but it’s not the same as the 1.4 16v (MultiAir or not) and revving it out to that near 7,000 rpm redline! My mom’s 500 1.4 MultiAir 105 Pop, even with the Automatic sounds great at the 6,750 redline when it upshifts. The TwinAir would sound great at 6,500-7,000 rpm, but it’s physically limited. I missed when Italian engines were free revving.

The 1.2 FIRE (1242cc) VVT 8v engine production has already been stopped. ;)
The 105 TA should have been available from 2017 onwards in a Panda S.

I'm still hoping we will see the all new NA 1332cc Firefly 4 cilinder mild Hybrid 100 hp engine soon in the Panda.

I just check the UK and Italian website and the 1.2 69 and the 1.0 70 hybrid are the only options available. FIAT canceled the TwinAir for a lot of reasons, one of them being that the fuel economy was way below the claimed figure.

It still shows as available and there are likely many 1.2 engines in the system but recently they ended for good the productions of the 1.2 fire engine for european cars, they may still make them in smaller volumes in places like India or South America but no more for Europe and to be fare I think the 1.0 3 cylinder was basically built for places like India and South America.

The only 1.2 available now is on cars with an automatic gearbox (which is what the websites will show) but we Europeans prefer our manual gearboxes even more so on little cars like a panda

I think it is for the “Automatic”.
