Hello Everyone,

A couple of photos of my brand new Fiat Panda Hybrid Launch Edition. It was delivered a couple of weeks ago and I believe it's the first Panda Hybrid registered in the UK.

It's my first Cross model after having 2 Lounge models in 2015 and 2018, as I wanted a change and it coincided with the Hybrid becoming available. The Launch Edition gets the Dew Green colour, electric mirrors and climate control and comes with 6 forward gears instead of 5. The radio is still the same as the previous models, shame as I was hoping to at least get the non-touch DAB that was in the 500.

My better half got a new 500 Sport and the radio is the touch-enabled AirPlay DAB, which is really nice.

As usual I've had a towbar and roofbars fitted for my bike carriers. I've barely driven in, not even 40 miles on the clock yet and I doubt it'll do much until the current situation changes.

Cheers,

The Dew Green isn't something I would normally go for, they've been white and red previously. I might have gone with black, but as the hybrid is new I thought I'd try the special edition.

I've not driven much yet, there's not even 50 miles on the clock and the drive battery isn't charged fully yet. The stop-start did activate and I when starting the car a couple of times the petrol engine didn't come on straight away, as power was coming from the electric motor.

I doubt I'll be driving it much over the next couple of months, shame as I was hoping to get to a few things in it.

Cheers,

Personally I think the city cross was a good idea. The main reason for me is the increased height. For me with back and knee problems it makes entrance and exit easier. It's much better equipped than my previous lounge and looks the part too!

I think it's a strange but nice colour, it looks more blue then green in the Pictures, IMHO.

The new style wheels are definitely my favourite.
I wonder how they would look with the red bodywork.
I believe the wheels on that Hybrid are steel wheels with plastic covers over them - the same as used on the Waze model. The steel wheels themselves (without covers) are standard on the 'real 4x4 in some markets - and I would quite like to have them on mine rather than the unnecessary (and rather weak) alloys they fit to UK models... Hi.
If you zoom in on the back wheels you can clearly see the brake drums so they must be alloys and it confirms it's a 2WD.
