Hi everyone ,
new to the forum and the Panda.

lust got my brand new Panda Lounge 900T today.

All the radio lights work. I can set radio.
unfortunately. no sound comes out of speakers at all.
Tried everything.
Any advise on what I might be missing ?

Thanks

Let me ask question differently.
How do I know if radio is locked ? Will it say so on screen ?

Also do the speakers plug in directly to the head u it ? Perhaps the plug is loose ? Can I reach from underneath to check ?

Thanks

thanks.
I guess either the speaker plug came loose or the fuse is gone.
I assume the fuse is for the internal amp, not the whole radio.

Hi.
So when you power up the radio there is display, frequency is displayed etc??? If so and no sound it's not a fuse, the radio is protected by one fuse, so separate one for the internal chip amp.
As it's a brand new car don't attempt taking the radio out as you could invalidate the warranty. Take it to the dealer.

thanks.

There are two fuses - one in the car's fuse box (that covers many things as well as the radio), and one on the back of the radio itself. if either fuse fails, the radio will not turn on. I think you need to look on the back of the radio to see that the plugs are in. Is the car new? If so, is this not covered by the warranty? - go back to the dealer.

[Edit: just realised, earlier reply from Trevor said the same thing!]

Thanks for replies, but I found the fault. A plug behind a panel in footwell was unplugged. Probably for transport reasons ?
Nice little car. Problem is dealer network is far or I would have taken it in.

So the saga deepens haha.
Today I go to start the car and as I turn the ignition, the windscreen wipers start wiping.
Then faults on dash. Open door. Fuel cut off. Low brake fluid.
Car won’t even crank over.
Car is going nuts ?

I can only imagine a flat battery ? So checked voltage at 12.2V
A bit low but should still crank surely ?

I’ve put it on charger . Let’s see if that helps.
Has this happened to anyone ?

Interesting.
If the car starts after a recharge I'd be inclined to disconnect the plug you connected and see if all is OK tomorrow. If so it makes me think there is a fault in the radio that is draining current through the speakers. Perhaps the reason the plug was disconnected in the first place.

Looks like you'll need to return to the dealer.

Definitely that’s all caused by battery issue. The plug you connected may be for the second part of the audio system, which sits in the floor under all the heater system this is where the Bluetooth uConnect part is. But, it should all power down once the key is removed.

Are you sure?
Mine still connects with the key out and the radio powered up. All radio's on the last 30 years have a permanent live feed.

I’ll be more specific. Depending on a menu setting, the radio will turn off when you turn the key off, or turn off 20 minutes after the key is turned off. You can turn the radio on without the ignition key on, but if you do it only stays on for 20 minutes, then shuts down again. So yes, permanent live, but with timer to auto turn off b

Yes I'm aware of that but my point is that the OP 's issue is since he connected the plug (allegedly speakers) the battery has run down. Remember the radio has a permanent live (needed to be able to power the set up with the key out) so something is pulling current, possibly continuously but of course when the engine is stopped it drains the battery. So I'd definitely pull that plug and try tomorrow.

One thing is to hear if there is a crackle from the speakers when disconnecting or connecting the plug.

My advice, for what it's worth? Let the dealer sort it out. Don't give them an excuse to dodge a warranty claim by trying to fix it yourself.

I'd agree the car should go back to the dealer.
I believe where the OP is, is a long way to the dealer. Fiat is patchy in the African continent, my wife is Kenyan and tells me she has never seen Fiat there.
