Hi everyone, new to the Fiat Forum after getting my first fiat!
Came across this whilst trying to get a question answered about my Fiat Panda Lounge model from 2015. :slayer:

Basically, I'm looking to get cross bars for the roof in order to carry general luggage (possibly get a small roof box) and I'm yet to purchase any as I'm not 100% sure on how they will be fitted.

So the question is, do universal cross bars fit directly to the longitudinal bars that are already running across the panda's roof? or do I require a separate mechanism to do so?
The reason I'm looking at third-party / off-brand cross bars is the branded panda roof bars are so hard to come by and when you do find them, they cost a pretty penny!

Any help would be great!

I bought an aguri one for 80 quid used it twice. Fitted to roof rail very well. Dont use it now.
Only thing to watch out for is the bars are wide on these and may not be compatible with some cycle racks or roof boxes.
£30 if anyone needs one in norfolk

My ‘genuine Fiat branded ones’ cost less than those from Thule... but are *made* by Thule! Because made by Thule, has their standard ‘slot’ fitting in top of the cross bars, so bike carriers etc very quick to fit on using their ‘slide in’ fittings. Also uses standard Thule locks, so you can change for a ‘one key fits all’ set for the bike carrier, roof box etc too. They are reassuringly robust - but aluminium so light in weight - important as at 70mph the stress on them and anything fixed to them will be huge, and I wouldn’t want anything coming off. I leave them on all the time now - fairly ‘aero’ profiled and silent from inside the car. https://moparstore.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=+Panda+roof+bars

I've had an offer of £25 for some genuine Fiat Panda bars but for a 2012 model do you reckon these would fit?

I've got some original Fiat cross bars from my 2006 4x4 I'd sell if that's any help.

Sadly, they won’t fit the post 2012 Panda - the roof rails on the newer car are flush with the roof, whereas the 2006 one they had a gap under them, so the fittings to the bars are different. I think the 2012 bars will be longer (wider) too, as the cat’s a bit bigger.

sorry to wake an old tread but i am after a way to get a top box on my panda, i have what i believe are called fixed point roof rails (they are flush to the roof and have two little covers on each side to reveal a mounting point), are there any good non OEM (cheap) bars that don't wrap around the door frame and look like poop?
THANKS
