It's easy to use and quite speedy at the pump.

There are only two sizes - one for petrol, one for diesel - irrespective of the make of car, as it is the garage pumps that have to fit all vehicles ( appropriate fuel of course)

Trusting you’ve read the various posts about spare wheels - both the wheel and jack are different to all other Pandas if you have a four wheel drive version.

Yes. Ours is a City Cross and the seller said it had been tried on a Cross. So I’m expecting it to fit. It’s a complete kit.

The polystyrene tray and boot floor, are extras. The original tool kit came in a pouch, which was stored right under the drivers seat, completely out of sight.

Depends on the model and whether a space saver supplied. If no space saver, then for all except 4x4, the tools live in a polystyrene tray under the boot carpet, which also holds fix and go kit. Non 4x4s with a space saver, the tools and jack go in a rigid plastic insert inside the spare. Only the 4x4, when supplied with a spare wheel, has the tools in separate bag (because the 4x4 Jack is bigger and doesn’t fit inside the wheel)

But rusty on the details now. Was a while ago did the development work on the AA multi-fit spare. There are rules for spare tyres, particularly space savers. Space savers are get you home/tyre centre at limited speed. MOT covers condition and tread depth, but The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 and other SI also cover wider specification. Mixing types and loading etc, which could be policed at a VOSA or police roadside check and would affect insurance validity.

I would assume Black is diesel..and white is unleaded
But ads dont confirm this..

I agree. I have a black one and it doesn't fit the Panda petrol so must be ex Bravo diesel.

Your car has a "dust cap" moulded into the cover flap. It's visible in your photo.
SWMBO's Focus is capless, has a similar "cap" and always clean.
You can open the filler on the Focus but have to press on 3 places at the same time.

Edit Have you actually tried to open the flap with the car locked?

Sorry it doesnt. Its not even got the fitting hole.

Observation of the rubber cap suggest both dust and water would get onto the filler and I would want the cap. I dont suppose its critical if its not supplied but thats penny pinching accountants for you......

My rubber cap is both dirty and wet. Its supposed to be for dusty cliamtes. If we dont have a dusty climate - after this year - I am a Dutchman. I am sure its available as a part but it will only be from Fiat.

You would think so but , no thats just colour, my diesel had a white one. I put it in our other car and its useless as too big.

It strikes me that if a thief had the funnel that holds the anti siphon device open they could put a tube down through the funnel. And yes fuel still can be stolen as I know only too well.
my flap can be pulled open with strong fingers even when the car is locked. My wife's Hyundai I10 has a neat, seemingly foolproof, locking cap with a release by the drivers seat

OOOOH no if you need to get into the fuel.... hard cheese, as theres an anti syphon thing that stops you.. I tried it. Without the gizzmo getting into the tank, while possible is a huge pain in the behind. I arrived home on vapour and was pretty sure I didnt have 5 miles worth left and had to top up. At I couldnt find the funnel thing as I had thought it was for engine oil....Duh. That time I calle dit a few names. Im sure Pandatoni was chuckling at my stupidity. You still need a funnel and a helper to top up without a 50% wastage. So much for my fuel syphon pipe.

The cap the funnel pushes open is NOT the anti syphon device that much further down the filer

What amazes me is I said this (about the myth of thefts) two and a half years ago - and this thread has been dormant pretty much since then. Its been 'woken up' because someone saw it as a 'similar thread' at the bottom of a much more recent page and has added a comment to this old, long-dead thread
(This seems to keep happening - the 'similar threads' at the bottom of the page are often old - just check the date of the previous lat post before replying, maybe? . The other one there, about the filler funnel, dates from 2018, but has also 'oddly' resurfaced in the past couple of days)
