Can anyone advise on how to remove the central air vents above the radio in a 2016 Panda? One of the levers that opens and closes the vent has come detached (i knocked it while the radio was out )

I’ve obviously got the radio out fine - but despite applying quite a bit of force around the edge of the two vents it doesn’t want to shift. I can’t see any screws or other fixings - but I’m guessing there must be something holding it in.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

There is a single screw. It goes up vertically on the centreline (from inside the radio opening) and is about 25mm back from the front edge. I guarantee that as you unscrew it, it will fall out, drop down past the radio opening and then lodge at the back of the dash to rattle for ever and a day! If I remember right, its a Torx screw... and you'll need an 'L' shaped Torx key with a long end and a short bit at 90deg like an Allen key to reach it. (I took mine out from my 2013 Panda for the same reason. Having lost the screw, it went back in without it but there was never an issue – there are retaining clips as well as the screw)

Thanks Herts Hillhopper - that’s a great help. I’ll try and staff a rag in the opening before I attempt to get the screw out.
