Our 64 plate T/A Trekking is coming up to need it's 27k service. Having always done my own post warranty servicing I just wondered if there were any do's and don'ts with the Twin Air, bit different to our 100HP and our Alfa(which I didn't service myself)
From reading other forum articles oil looks critical, 0w30 Selenia Digitek PE and I will be getting a suitable MultiecuScan from Gendan to do resets etc
Anything else I need to be aware of?

Some of other service parts off well known auction site are peanuts. Major service £85 maybe. 4 winter tyres fitted not much via Blackcircles for instance. Believe yellow lead with MES enough for service mileage and uniair reset. Though Gendan's may not be actually yellow.

Isn't the 27k service just a tyre-kicking exercise? Major services (incl. oil & filter) on the TA are at 18k-mile intervals (although the wise owls on here recommend more frequent oil changes than that).

Probably knowing Fiat:) Will do an oil and filter annually anyway, force of habit from owning classic minis back in the day and a diesel rangie that took 9l of oil each go

I think the annual service is best - our 13-reg 4x4 got an oil change at 5,000 miles and annually thereafter - done 78,000 miles and now on its 13th Italian stint.

Ok the oil is causing me a conundrum. The manual says 0W30 Selenia Digitek PE Fiat 9.55535-GS1 but if I put the reg into Opie oils website it offers me 5W40 oil. Is there a way to be 100% sure which is the right grade, the car was registered 1stFeb 2015 which according to VOSA makes it a Euro 5b engine.

If it is 0W30 has anybody tried the Miller's C2 XF Long Life as in the spec it says it is Fiat 9.55535-GS1
Used Millers oils in a sprint racer I had a share of some years ago and it seemed pretty good.

Millers you mentioned should be fine, go with that. (y)
