Well I got the new bar and tried to fit it but the supplied torx head M7 bolts are too small. :bang: . I need some M8 bolts but I am not going back to Fiat because the correct bolts are not even listed on the parts site.

https://www.fiatdalys.lt/en/catalog...0/0/CC1.2/CMBBZ/GDX/cross-arm-and-torsion-bar

The diagram is faulty because it shows the reinforcement bar fixed with the same bolts as the torsion bar

I'll get the correct bolts from a local fastenings specialist on Monday.

Is it a substantial bar? Just wondering if its to guard against the exhaust ripping up the road and damaging the underside of the car if falls off, or a brace for the subframe?

It's 3mm gauge steel and I wouldn't want to be hit on the head with it :D. I think it is to help stop the chassis bending in a collision ?

It turns out that Fiat, in their infinite wisdom, have made the bolt size required as M9! This is a really rare size and hard to source. That may be a clue why some pandas are missing the reinforcement bar. "Hey caposquadra, we've run out of M9 bolts again when are we getting some more?"

Anyway I got some of these. M9 with E12 torx head.
