Hi.
First accident in 34 years. Hit by speeding motorcycle while reversing out of drive. Kept looking but he appeared from nowhere. He has three broken ribs and a fractured ankle. The visibility where I am is restricted due to parked cars so I'm extra vigilant. Other than the injuries he is OK. Very little damage to the bike but the rear quarter of the Panda looks quite ill.

Too bad as I'm getting remarried on Saturday and was looking forward to driving the Cross up north.

Not a good week for Pandas. On Monday we took Mrs b_u's Panda 1.2 to have lunch with friends here in Devon. We'd just got to the sticky toffee pudding stage when a man came into the bar - "Someone's just driven into your car in the car park. Knocked it back a couple of feet, got out to look at the damage and then drove off. Don't worry, I know who it was, I'll give you their details. And the three workmen on the building site opposite saw the whole thing."

In the event the damage is not too bad - a new front bumper and number plate should fix it but I sometimes despair of human nature.

On a happier note - all the very best for the future - and, don't forget, if you happen to be in central Italy while we're there (April, May, June, September, October) get in touch.

Bad luck... and not too good for the guy on the bike Ribs and ankle ouchh.. Have a great wedding... That does not look too bad ,it wont prevent you driving up north will it?....

Hi Guys.
Well I have a Hyundai i10 loan car. Quite a spacious cabin, fairly quiet at 60mph with less road noise than the Panda, engine rough at lower revs and runs out of steam too. No character at all. The wedding went very well, a beautiful day. The hotel we booked in Oban was a disaster and we didn't stay so came home. Having a,relaxing week here at home instead......... The estimated time the Panda will be ready is Friday.

Hi.
Got the Panda back today. Perfect job and with a complete new rear bumper which only had a little score in it. Paint match spot on. Will post a few pictures once the rain ever stops.

Blimey, that was quick! Hope the motorcyclist heals as well as the Panda!

It was indeed quick. It was Direct Line's own in house coachwork that runs 24 hours a day and has enormous stocks.

RE the motorcycle rider, it has come to light that he was speeding and on strong anti depressants. Indeed I hope he recovers well but learns a lesson not to speed nor drive under strong medication that slows reaction time.
