Styling Different head restraints?

Styling Different head restraints?

They are not designed to come out.
There used to be a little button on one of the plastic guide holes but not any more.
If you have the anti whiplash that's why
After all that's been covered on this I still can't believe you want to change them
You better check with your insurance company if you are allowed to disarm the anti whiplash system and you want to modify the seat design

Really? I've seen 2018 plate 500s not a panda but same basic car underneeth where the headrest is still removable
they are also removable on my 17 plate tipo

They're not removable on my 2015 Cross. I tried a few years ago, almost to the point of destruction, but failed to budge them.

(Desperate times call for desperate measures - I was in Wickes car park, with several long sheets of plywood which would only fit inside the car with the passenger headreast out of the way. In the end I had to admit defeat and call the wife to rescue me in her wretched Volvo :( )

Just to simplify the instructions

The front head restraints have a button on only one support used for lowering. There is no mechanism for removal.

The rear rear restraints have a button on one support for lowering and a smaller button on the other support for removal.

Thanks for the useful info. If it’s not supposed to be removed, and requires a lot of DIY and tampering I’ll avoid it. It wouldn’t be worth messing with an important system as pointed out.

I’ll go back to the solution I used on my old Panda... keeping my woolly hat permanently fitted over the top of the head rests! Lol

They are probably not removable because they are connected to the anti-whiplash system. Wearing the woolly hat in winter would have the same effect would it not? :D
