hello all
just picked up a 19 plate panda lounge ,i have a couple of questions, the car has a standard hand brake not the usual one found in pandas, also the steering wheel isnt wrapped in leather it has the buttons for radio and phone etc is it just a change in spec or am i missing something, lastly does the panda lounge come with car mats as theres a couple of studs in the drivers footwell for them, other than that i like the car,
thanks in advance

Welcome. Handbrake changed/announced end of last year. Steering wheel was leather as of Autumn '16 onwards. Obviously changed. I'd suspect cost cutting. Did you get a leather gearknob? You'll miss out on rear speakers and glovebox aux in and usb too. 1.2 Lounge really nice car, should have kept mine.....:(

Hi.
I think the Lounge spec has changed a bit over the years. Mine is 2014 and has the six speaker set up with excellent sound, not a leather wheel or with wheel controls and no bluetooth connectivity, not a problem for me though as I hate too many gizmos anyway. Otherwise the spec is fine with Aircon, electric windows, front fogs, boot light, Alloys, remote locking, extra airbags, plus on mine metallic paint.

I've added a bumper protector strip, sill protectors, AUX input to the stereo and a permanent 5volt Micro USB supply, Plus some underbonnet changes. Great little car and very enjoyable.

Handbrake lever is the standard Panda chunky one with the side button.

Interesting to see the additions since 2014. Seat height adjustment could be useful, I like the steering wheel set low and at the moment I can just see the top of the dials, any lower and the markings would be obscured.

Hill holder and all those other features to me are pointless, I can move off on a hill without rolling back, that's what we are taught to do without assistance from car systems.

I had the same issue with my 2013 4x4. But my 2018 model,, the graphics on the dials are different and remain visible with the wheel set lower than I could in the older car (the MPH numbers are now nearer the centre of the dial with the km speeds around the outside - as shown in this post in another thread https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-iii/464920-new-panda-waze-model-free-4x4-3.html?p=4474515)

Si si FRanco keepa de 'air on Si!:bang:

The standard hand brake lever is apparently an upgrade, progress and an improvement...... A new idea from Fiat for 2019. Having got used to the Mouse handbrake I actually like it. Its much less painful to sit on if you are sliding over from one side to the other!

Like Colin, I would expect a leather wheel in a lounge. Judging by the number of perople recently pointing out missing bits on Pandas I would jump up and down and demand it be corrected and see what happens.

I have this day been on to Fiat customer services about mats and suggested they either provide them or remove the incorrect and misleading information in their sales blurb. I suggest you speak to them as I have found that they are quite good at making amends if you express dissatisfaction. Its clear from the accessory catalogue that mats are accessories. Sadly they seem to think that the carpet in the car is mats.... If they just used Google translate they could get over this issue. I got a set when I bought my last car by just not taking no for an answer, but I am mean. Really mean..... If you decide to buy carpet mats there are at least three types. All the same shape and size but different logos and quite significantly different prices. SG Petch are generally a good place to look for good accessory prices.

Couldnt agree more, but hill holder is magic when towing.
