Hi guys, got my first car. Panda is a nice little car. I wanted to attach AUX cable, so I pulled radio unit out. then I noticed red cable behind the radio, nothing connected to. see photo. then I traced it to the back of glove compartment. is that a fuse box? see attaches photo. the cablr was connected to the red cable on the right of that box. shall I be worried? everything seems to be working fine.

I think I have answered my own question regarding what this is.
IT is a fuse box.

Now, the question is, what is that cable? the previous owner apparently had a different radio unit installed. Could that be a cable for that radio unit? Should OEM radio also be connected to that box or is it connected to the main fuse box?

Hi.
What engine and spec is your car? I certainly dont have that cable and to me it looks as if it is something the previous owner has added. You'll see the Blue female space connector on one end of the cable, these connectors are crimped types you buy in an auto shop, Halfords etc. certainly not a standard cable.

Ive re-read the thread. The cable must be for the different stereo. The normal plugs that come in the cars wiring loom will be all the set will need so the cable you have is surplus to requirements, destined to the bin or kept for something else, your choice.

Previous owner probably fitted an after market stereo and then took it out and re-fitted the original when selling the car.
Fiat use CAN bus to tell radio the ignition is off, but after market stereos need a 12V supply that goes on and off with the ignition. The red wire will be a switched 12 V that was used for the other stereo. Make sure the end is well insulated and just tuck it out of the way.

The thing in the fuse box is a 'piggy back adaptor' - Mini Piggyback Blade Fuse Tap Holder Car 12V: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics It goes into where the fuse should be, and provides a direct lead out from the same circuit. If you look in your last photo, you can see the original (pink) fuse sticking out of the side of it. You can pull the connector out of the fuse box and put the original fuse back in its place, and then all will be back as Fiat made it.
