I promised myself I would not get all tangled up in another discussion regarding Top Gear..
Even looking at things logically, the BBC obviously envisaged that more money could be had by using the same format, well we all know that just was not going to happen, this had already been done with Clarkson & co AND YES I DO GET THAT NOT EVERYBODY WAS ALL THAT ENAMORED WITH THEM. All that aside it was entertaining in a schoolboy/silly way. My wife still goes on now & again from the mists of time about certain episodes of daftness when an occasion arises.
In it's time Clarkson & co TG was the biggest global spinner the BBC ever had. Say what you want, but certainly had it fans in droves. Ach, time moves on, now & then my grandson & I have a giggle or two revisiting old episodes....

Strangely I prefer Le Blanc over those other two clowns. Top Gear it ain't, Top Crap would be better. Apparently Matt Le Blanc will not be doing a further series.

What's not to like? The plucky little Panda even managed to hold on to its bumpers, which is more than the Suzuki Ignis managed.

TG is and always was total drivel aimed at a viewership with a lower than average IQ, I found it unwatchable. Chris Harris’s own stuff on YouTube is pretty ok though I find

The utter spaff-fest over him on Pistonheads is almost embarrassing.
Unfortunately there are some on here falling into taking things personally syndrome. A product of forum/social media sites. I would never force my views on anyone & judge people by what they watch, at worst I find certain characters on television irritating, I certainly don't hate anyone I've never met.
My wife often watched Top Gear with Clarkson with me, just for some senseless escapism, & she is a lecturer in child psychology & youth studies. She has three degrees to her name, one a honors & one a masters. she also wrote a white paper for the Scottish government regarding children with special needs. Does that make her of lower IQ just because she chooses to watch a bit of nonsense just for fun?

I know my little Panda looks way better on Pitlochry high street than that Ignis did. Now I want to tackle that hill on the way to work.
