Personally I'd say don't. My experience over the years has been that when new they are ok. as they get older, even if a factory fit, they leak, mechanisms jam up, many have drain channels which block up and are a sod to clean out. Generally they are bother you can do without.
Having said that our Becky (2012 dynamic eco) has a factory fit, electrically powered, glass roof! I'm running book with Mrs Jock as to when it's going to go "wrong".

If its still OK now it will probably remain so. Over the years I have had many different ones fitted to a variety of cars and the only leakers I have ever experienced have been second hand ones badly fitted / maintained. I am interested in what sounds like your current one. Is that an "all important sky-dome sunroof"? QUoting there from a dealer...... Bull **** of course.

The skydome is nigh impossible to fit properly afterwards. I have, however, seen plenty of Panda (pandi?) with aftermarket Webasto roofs (one even managed to fit dual sunroofs) so it's definitely doable.

Job done! :D
