I changed mine (2013 Easy) from the standard black to beige. It makes the car look a tad wider with a bit more presence (I find people less likely to pull out in front of me now).
You’ll need to remove the mirror glass (this pops out using a plastic blade), but I managed to break one. Once off, you can compress the plastic retainers and pop the covers off.

New red covers £22 now in hand. Now where's the green paint! I did consider chrome wrap but its very expensive. I am having the lower bumper wrapped in smoked silver to dumb down the gaping teeth. May be a green mirror wrap is in order.

I had a nightmare getting hold of a replacement purple one after some idiot smashed my drivers side mirror doing a very close pass.
As mentioned above I tracked one down but it’s a matte finish. Easy to tell if your covers will fit though... do you have removable covers ?

Definitely possible. I swapped ours for a new red pair going for £10 on ebay.
It was a pain in the fingers to do it. The glass needs to be pried out and then in theory you push the plastic retaining tangs out. In practice you can't get enough leverage to do this without damage & there's one that you can't even reach near the swivel joint.
I found it easier to unscrew the entire outer shell from the mount and then it was much easier to do.
