Hi guys, I'm a little bit hazy regarding the new MOT rules.

Will the 'Amber ! Triangle' fail the Mot? I mean it's not the EML is it.....

Cheers in advance

Mine came on as i put it on the council ramp..I told the tester its for the stop start and he was fine with that..Like you say its not a oh sh## light get on the forum quick...light

Lol every issue my panda has you have had the exact same.... Is your car around 60k miles???

My TA is on 41,400 miles..2 and half years ownership...
Yellow triangle on most of the time..Stop start never worked had i scanned twice no faults found.
I self service and 5 w40 c3 oil from B And M The range and Asda ect.
Drive it till it breaks. But it start first time every time...

My car being plugged in by Fiat tomorrow afternoon after the orange exclamation triangle came on when car warm on Saturday afternoon. Will have done all I can then as it's been on in colder weather since November. Will see tomorrow what they come up with.

quotethepigeon - car plugged in today. Nothing. They made outside temp sensor think was minus 2. Orange triangle wouldn't come on. Glad bought cheap code reader as when out of warranty will be considerably more for main dealer to do again. Cars.....:bang:

I think the withholding of services such as stop start, hill hold assist etc are related to the cars perception of the battery condition. This is a personal opinion based on experience with a 63 plate 60k 4x4 TA. Last summer, on especially hot days, I'd have the yellow triangle and no stop start (not that it ever works) and hill hold, traction control etc all services that I think rely on electrical power being available. I replaced the battery then and even had the stop start for a while. Then today, as the temperature drops to maybe 0 and the car unused (but locked - therefore alarm draining) the yellow triangle etc is back. Give it a run to the shops to warm up and charge and all is well again. So, I think its all battery voltage/condition related and probably not going to show on the "codes".

Any thoughts out there?

I suspect I agree with you. When my Stop/Start does work (2014 4x4 TA) it simply tells me that my battery is in rude health. Not had it happen for about 6 months I suspect, but car starts like a spring chicken each morning, so clearly nothing to worry about. I imagine that if I kept the Panda on a CTEK trickler as I do the others, it would see Stop/Start start stopping once again. But am I that bothered...?!

Finally, message with triangle yesterday lunch. Turned out passenger side brake bulb gone. Used Fiat bulb kit from 2005. Car knew changed and triangle went. :)
