Hi all, I just got a pioneer radio and can’t get it to turn on, it’s been a long time since I changed a radio and I can’t remember what’s causing the issue I’ve attached the iso blocks and tried switching the red and yellow cable on the stereo but still seems to be dead? Has anyone had this issue and found a solution? Couldn’t find anything when searching, thank you

I’ve fitted a new stereo to my panda pop recently. It needed to have a switched power feed (i.e. an ignition feed from a fuse that powers up with the turn of the key). The radio receives a permanent power feed from the existing wiring loom but no longer receives the canbus signal to turn on and off. Therefore once you’ve fitted the fuse spur and joined a wire from it to the ISO connector on the radio loom, the stereo will know when it should turn on and off. It’s pretty standard practice in many other VAG and GM cars.
