Fiat Panda MHV (Mild Hybrid Vehicle) in arrivo a fine 2019.

Online Translation:

The information on the Panda hybrid at the moment are few, considered to be the expected privacy on a car so important.
But in a press note, Fiat has officially announced the hybrid will be mild (not in the case a car is called a Panda MHV, from Mild Hybrid Vehicle) and it will cut fuel consumption and pollutant emissions in the city.
The hybrid temperatures, according to rumors, should arrive before the restyling.

Another supermarket Suzuki job I expect. Panda acting as the test mule before the 500 gets it.

Grazie Mille ;)

You know, it wasn't long ago someone on this forum predicted this mild hybrid system would reach the Panda and 500 before any revamp or new model arrived.

At the time he was put up against the wall and shot!

It was also predicted the new 500 wasn't too far off in the future.
These are the days of platform sharing and it doesn't take the same amount of time to go from blank piece of paper to a launch.

Rumor has it that the Panda MHV will get a non turbo 999cc 3 cylinder GSE-Firefly engine with around 70-80 hp.
Rumor even has it that the non turbo GSE-Firefly will be the only available engine for the Panda from 2019 on, with the option to choose Mild Hybrid extra.
The reason would be, to put the Panda for a much sharper price in the market compare to the Present TwinAir turbo versions.

The same rumor also says that the new engine with or without hybrid option will also come with a complete revamp of the Panda inside and out. The big screen Connect system as found in the 500 and other Fiats will make it's way to the Panda and it's also probebly going to be bigger. I hopethe new Panda will be as good as the current one and that they will give ut an engine with 80hp without the hybrid. Then if the pricing stays right(below 20000 euro's with most options) then I might considder another one. On the other hand I don't think I ever buy a new car again.

I also wonder if they will change the PCD from 4x98 to 5x98, i hope they do.
