Simple translations. :D

From Italy seeps through that the Panda get a fairly thorough update at the end of this year.
That would be the first time for the successful model from 2012.
The in Pomiglano d’Arco produced small five-door will both optically and technically updated.
On the outside, the new model will be identified as new.
Under the hood we will finally see the new GSE-Firefly (1.0 three-cylinder) engine and a mild hybrid system.
The new engine for the renewed Panda is going (as said) to be produced in Termoli.
In the interior the Uconnect screen (as we have seen in other Fiat’s to know), will be integrated into the new dashboard.

I wonder if the fairly thorough update will also eliminate the Squirrel theme of the present Panda.

How many of you consider in buying the 2019-2020 model, with or without Mild Hybrid. ??
Is it something you looking forward to, or do you really don't care.

Depends on the deal, of course, but at the moment I'm pretty certain to go for any new/heavily-updated model, as long as it isn't bigger.

If the Panda departs much from it's current form factor, say by becoming bigger, then I wouldn't be interested. What I would then be tempted to do is buy one of the last of this generation Pandas with a view to keeping it some time.

I really like the character and performance of the TwinAir engine. Of course it's not even warm-hatch performance, but it's enough for what the panda is, and it's very usable, with strong torque from 1900 rpm.

I'm not excited by the prospect of a mild hybrid if it's anything like the Suzuki Ignis. It's so mild, there's hardly any difference in performance, 11s v 11.4s 0-62. No electric only driving, just a little bit more efficiency. 3-ish mpg extra. Set against the extra cost, and it being something else to go wrong.

I expect this system from Bosch.

But i also expect the Panda MHV being a "Dualogic" with automatic gearbox.

I had a 100HP Panda before my 4x4 TA - there's a section of the A30 near Okehampton where I do a balls out acceleration from about 20mph on the entering slip road to a bridge over the road - the 100HP got to 80mph and the 4x4 TA gets to 79.5 so the TA isn't quick by any means but it is surprisingly nippy.

I understand that 70 cavalli would be too little but the 120 hp Firefly 1.0Turbo 3 cylinder we had for a day in a 500X Cross Plus for a day would be "well plenty" and I am sure it would fit under the bonnet.
