Something really odd started happening. No matter what FM frequency I select, after about 30 seconds of listening the radio pops back to 103.3 (a radio I never listen to), and it's programmed into the radio memory 1. I change the saved channel to what it should be, and it works for a few seconds, and then jumps back to 103.3 again, with the memory for preset 1 set to it again.

Knowing how these things tend to be, I'm guessing my battery's on its way out but I'd like to know if anyone else has a radio with a particular affinity for a certain frequency, and if so what they did to rectify it (or if they just accepted this as the car picking the station and decided arguing with it would be futile).

Is your usual station available in 2 different frequencies? Often a station will retune slightly to the strongest signal. Something obviously getting confused. I usually use my music usb rather than the radio.

This is correct and how it should work. Snag is when the station ID (Ident) is shared. For example here in this area we have an independent network. West FM, Clyde 1 and Forth 1, all run by the same company but they don't always carry the same material. So I tune into West FM here and drive to Glasgow then at some point on the motorway the set retunes to Clyde 1 as West FM's signal has dropped and the station ID is the same but the programme is actually different. So in the OP the only way is to stop the radio retuning to the strongest signal by turning off the AF.

A full network transmission like BBC 1,2,3 & 4 is OK but not regional variations.
