Technical Rear washer keeps coming on

Help. I have a 2013 Fiat Panda Pop. The rear wiper and washer keeps coming on. It exhausts all the washer fluid and the wiper just carries on indefinitely. It will turn off, then come on again. It's driving me nuts.
Does anybody know what could be causing this?

Could be the switch. Its canbus controlled so any conductive leaks (tracking) could pass enough current for the body computer to think its switched on. Un plugging the switch if possible should confirm the fault.
Failing that it could be the body computer or damaged wiring.
