Hello to everyone.
Yesterday my Panda went to safe mode.
I was trying to accelerate with A/C on and at 4000 r.p.m. the car stopped accelerate, the r.p.m. went to idle at approximately 900 r.p.m. & it was impossible to accelerate. After 20 seconds, the engine shutted down and the starter couldn't start. I tried 3-4 times with no results and after 2 minutes the car stopped. I tried again to start the engine, the starter worked and the engine started with the Check engine light on. I went to the garage to check the faults and the result was that my car went to safe mode due to heavy loan. Does anyone heard something like that? Thanks in advance.

The wastegate on the turbo is prone to sticking due to carbon build up within.
This will cause the MAP to detect too much boost as the wastegate should, but cannot open to control the pressure the higher the revs rise.

It's very common and the issue tends to reset after a restart, that is until it detects the fault again at high load.

You could try manually working the arm in the turbo back and forth, but I believe it's not easy to get at, there are a few posts on this forum about this issue.

Another load issue might fuel pump/rail pressure.
If the pump can't meet demand or the rail pressure drops off too far due to excess injector leak off or just a fuel leak, the first you tend to know about it is when the engine is under heavy load.

Again, this may reset at restart until the engine reaches the same load for it to happen again.

You could really do with the actual code they pulled from the ECU, that should help pinpoint the issue better.
