A great looking car, in England a A1 s-line in that colour and the big wheels i would guess £20000 to £22000 , and thats a lot of money

If you get one please post pic's and how to find it

I switched from my panda to the previous a1 a few years ago. Have to say that the a1 was fast, well equipped and surprisingly cheap to run. But not engaging to drive. And it rattled, everywhere. Chopped it as soon as I was in balanced equity.

Sorry, not impressed. The designers just couldn't stop adding new slashes, swages, bulges, black plastic dummy air intakes, etc, could they?*. Much prefer the original A1, tbh, especially in S1 form.

*OK, OK, I know the Cross is probably one of the worst offenders for black plastic add-ons, but on the Cross, the adornments are so over-the-top they are almost comically funny. The new A1 looks like its trying too hard not to be a hairdresser's car.

It's a Polo in a frock.
Unfortunaly Audi drivers are getting a bit of a bad reputation on the road as well.

Robert G8RPI
(Former Audi owner)

They are shocking here in Italy, overtaking in the most ridiculous places, driving past stationary queues, generally being the most important people (men and women) on the surface of the planet. (Followed by Mercedes and BMW drivers in that order.)

.....and it ain't a Fiat.

mine neither, although for no fault of Fiat or the Panda's, which has been *touch wood* fantastically characterful and very reliable indeed (in the ca. 30k miles I've done in 5 years of ownership). I've been seriously considering an 140i. Looks like there'll be significant benefit to going electric in about ten years or so and I would like to go out swinging, so to speak. I am very nervous about reputation the frightfully complicated Germans come with.

nice little car, the A1. But would not you rather take a polo with (a lot!) more luxuries inside?

Currently we use a Seat Leon ST FR as family car, we are looking to replace it (next year) with either the Seat Leon ST Cupra, Seat Ateca Cupra, or the Alfa Giula Veloce. That last one is a clear favourite for me, Mrs perelaar is not convinced yet.

Expecting diesel ban in big cities here quite soon, hence the move to petrol.

My daughter has our old Leon S. Its 15 years old and now needs a clutch. On the whole its been a really good car. We have certainly had our monies worth. It still looks like new too. I would never buy another though. They now start at twice the power output. Its a total farce on our overcrowded and speed restricted roads.

Oooh thats a bit harsh. AUdi do - somewhat dishonestly - build a beautifully engineered cars. Its the image that kills them totally stone dead for me.
