Nervous about letting the offspring loose in my Panda, but it's small, has great visibility, and is easy-peasy to drive, so it makes sense. And I can hit the Eco button without telling them, so they won't be able to go at more than a snail's pace
Update: my son, up from London for the weekend, and fresh from passing his test last month (at 32!) drove me from NE Suffolk to Cambridge yesterday afternoon. It was his first time driving the Panda (indeed, driving any car, other than the one that he learned in).
He struggled with gear selection at times (hit 3rd instead of 5th twice, at speed ) and rode the clutch most of the way But then, he's got very big feet, and the Panda's footwell is very cramped around the clutch pedal. Otherwise an OK trip, and my precious no claims remains intact, for now.
Still astonished that it only cost £70 to add him to my policy (the same amount as my daughter, who is younger - 27 - but has had her full, unblemished licence for 6 years. Go figure!).
Renewal time for my wife’s Panda Trekking TA. From a well-known provider another £30 hike to £242 to follow on from last year and the year before. Can anyone recommend an insurance company that treats customers with 20+ years NCB in a fair way?
